Brief Introduction of Mr MA Lee Tak Ex-Director of Water Supplies The Government of the Hong Kong SAR Mr. MA Lee Tak had served in the civil service for over 30 years since graduation from the University of Hong Kong. He had worked in various engineering departments including the Highways Department, Territory Development Department, Civil Engineering and Development Department and Water Supplies Department and had participated in numerous major highway, railway, land formation, urban development and water supply projects. He retired from the civil service as the Director of Water Supplies. After retirement, Mr. MA maintains a rich public service portfolio to continue to provide contributions to the community. He is a Member of the Advisory Council on the Environment of the Hong Kong SAR Government, a Board Member of the Hong Kong Ocean Park Corporation, and a Member of the International Advisory Panel of the Institute of Water Policy of the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, National University of Singapore. He serves as Honorary Advisor for a number of Plumbing and Drainage Engineering Institutions in Hong Kong. He also actively participates in church service and choir. Living with his old-aged mother under the same floor has provided Mr. MA good insight on how to organize the house to meet the needs of all family members for a healthy, happy and harmonious life style, and prompted him to write a few articles in home interior design for seniors based on the “Universal Design Principles”.
