Farmlands in Hong Kong are mostly concentrated in the north east of the New Territories, with some even near the border. Though isolated, with the advantage of vast pieces of land, natural scenery, simple farmhouse structure and organic dishes, some of these farms organize eco-tours and farming workshops for the general public. Besides agricultural produce, some have farm animals. They also let out their land to those who are interested in a farming experience, or bring some potted plants or vegetables for growing at home. These activities not only allow you to enjoy the sun and fresh air, but also learn more about farming. Elderlies who are interested in farming can get a professional certificate in become a tour guide or teacher of faming workshops, or even a landscape designer and engineer.
