Although a simple looking village, Lamma Island has managed to preserve its fishing culture since its inception, making it one of the most unique locations in Hong Kong solely on this aspect alone. Being far away the city centre, visitors can reach Lamma Island within 30 minutes by ferry from Central or Aberdeen. It is suitable for people who do not want to take long time in transport. Shek Pai Wan is located in the inner part of the Island, thus making it a quiet and natural spot to visit.
Being a fishing village, naturally, there is a plethora of seafood restaurants near the Sok Kwu Wan ferry pier. If you visit the island with friends and families, you have to try one of their authentic seafood dishes before travelling around the island!
At Sok Kwu Wan ferry pier, turn left and walk, then you will see the first attraction - Mo Tat Wan. On your way to Mo Tat Wan, you can enjoy a view of Lamma Island's signature fish chops and the south of Hong Kong Island. There are tuck shops and bars in Mo Tat Wan that are popular among foreigners along the way. If you like foreign style, order a drink and enjoy the beautiful sea views in Mo Tat Wan.

Shek Pai Wan is the largest beach on Lamma Island, located between the Tung O and Yung Shue Ha villages. There, you will discover the unique style of fishing as well as the different fruit trees and flowers around the villages.
After leaving Shek Pai Wan, you may travel to Sham Wan or go back to Sok Kwu Wan ferry pier at Tung O Village. Sham Wan is an area for nature reservation and is only open from
